What is a Third Party Fundraising Event?
A Third Party Fundraising Activity can be defined as any fundraising initiative brought forward by an individual, community group, service club, or business external to WAVAW (the beneficiary) who wish(es) to raise money through a planned activity that is designed, managed and financially resourced by the external participants (the host).
Before you start…
Before you start planning your event, we ask that you take a few minutes to review the attached Fundraising Guidelines. If after having read the Guidelines, you and/or your group feel that hosting an event for WAVAW would be a mutually beneficial endeavour, we’d love to hear from you. Please read and complete the Third Party Fundraising Guidelines and Application.
Although we appreciate the enthusiasm and sincerity of the many individuals and groups who want to conduct a fundraiser for WAVAW, we are not always able to endorse every event. The following questions are considerations WAVAW will use in ensuring a positive fit for everyone involved:
- Has the Third Party provided sufficient information in their application?
- Does the time of the initiative work with our current roster of activities?
- Does the initiative contravene any of WAVAW policies?
If you are not sure if your event fits with our goals, objectives and guidelines, feel free to call us with any questions or to explore your idea further. We look forward to hearing from you!
